Lunar Cheese

Poem Illustration
This whimsical tale blends the pastoral charm of rural life with the boundless wonders of space. This ballad narrates the extraordinary adventure of a cow whose aspirations stretch beyond the green pastures into the starry skies. Through her eyes, we explore the fantastical notion of lunar cheese and the courage it takes to chase the most improbable dreams. Let this heartwarming story lift your spirits with its humor, heart, and the magical idea that even the most ordinary among us can achieve the extraordinary with a bit of imagination and daring.
Under the sky, where the stars did gleam,
A cow lay in bliss chewing cud,
Her dreams much larger than they did seem,
As she eyed the moon, her thoughts would bud.

With a whimsical wish, to the moon she'd fly,
Where she believed lay fields of cheese,
No sooner had she thought, she decided to try,
To fetch back a piece, if you please.

Wings unfurled, she left the earthly green,
Above the tallest trees she soared,
To a place where the night was serene,
And the moon's glow could not be ignored.

Upon the moon, she touched down with ease,
Finding Lunar cows, oh what a sight!
She set to work, crafting cheese from these,
In the moon's pale light, her delight.

With a hefty wheel of cheese, she returned,
Back to her pasture, her mission complete,
From her adventure, much was learned,
And now she had cheese for all to eat!
